1Sa 30:1 – 2 And it came to pass, when David and his men were come to Ziklag on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the south, and Ziklag, and smitten Ziklag, and burned it with fire; And had taken the women captives, that were therein: they slew not any, either great or small, but carried them away, and went on their way.

1Sa 30:6  And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.

1Sa 30:8  And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.

1Sa 30:18  And David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away: and David rescued his two wives.

It’s easy for you to remember things, which were stolen from you, correct?  When you think about the things you lost; initially, frustration and anger rose within you, because you know satan is was at the core of the loss.  Now, that we know this, what are we going to do about it?

I believe that’s God’s word to you today; because the enemy has stolen things that he has no right to have.  Perhaps he’s stolen the love that was once in your marriage or the peace in your family. Maybe he’s come in and attacked your finances.  Maybe he’s stolen the joy you once had in serving the Lord, or the love and the unity of fellowship with other saints. Satan came to steal, kill and destroy, but that doesn’t mean that we should allow him to get away with it. It’s time we do as David did and inquire of the Lord, and take it back!

Now, when you’ve lost something to the enemy’s ambush, it’s easy to be like David’s men, to succumb to bitterness; and want to blame someone else, or even feel like surrendering.  However, like David, we need to “find strength, and encourage ourselves in the Lord,” instead of feeling sorry for ourselves and saying, “What’s the use of going on?” We need to wipe away the tears and take it back!

We should pray to the Lord and ask Him to strengthen and provide us with His strategy for fighting back to recover what the enemy has stolen.  We need to declare war on whatever has kept us from recovering what we lost to the enemy.

Are you going to accept this?  Are you going to wave the flag and surrender to what the enemy has done?  You know what God is saying to you this day?  He’s saying rise up from your place of mourning and fight back!  It’s time to take everything back!  Realize the same God that strengthened David to recover all he lost, will strengthen you to recover everything stolen. The enemy is no match for Jesus!

Jesus said in His word that we could pray and bind the strong man.  Therefore, let’s bind the enemy and take back what belongs to us. He has not right to anything that belongs to a child of the Most High King. The enemy may have his hand on something or someone right now he has no right to, and it’s time to take it all back!

Mat. 18:18  Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

GET UP and take back what the enemy has stolen from you. Believe God and stand knowing that the God we serve is bigger than the enemies we face.  Get up and refuse to give in to the years of disappointment, the times of heartbreak, the lack of compassion in others.  Get up and take back what the enemy has stolen. Jesus came that we may have life more abundantly.

John 10:10  The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly.

Do spiritual warfare on your knees for the lives of your family and the things stolen out of your life. Refuse to allow the enemy to steal and keep that which is rightfully ours.  Get Up!!  Grab the promises with the sword of the Spirit, the power of prayer and take it back!

Get up and take back what the enemy has stolen.  The devil has no sympathy for us. If we don’t rise up in the name of Jesus and do spiritual warfare, the enemy will continue to come in and plunder everything that we love. It’s time for we follow Jesus, our Commander In Chief into battle and take back what the enemy has stolen!
